Garrard 301/401 serial number decoder
Find out when your turntable turntable was made
This tool allows you enter the serial number from your Garrard 301 or 401 turntable and get a year of manufacture and a link to help find the resale value. Garrard made the 301 transcription turntable from 1954 to 1965 when they launched the 401 which was in production until 1977. This tool works based on a rough average number of units made per year and due to likely variations in actual production rates it should be considered as a guide only. The serial number is found stamped on a metal plate that is riveted to the chassis under the platter. Remove the platter and it will be very obvious.
