Enter the movement/caliber number from your Rolex watch to find out when Rolex started to manufacture it and therefore the approximate earliest date for the watch. You can find the movement number engraved on the Rolex movement itself. It is not 100% accurate and may be a year or two out. This can be used in conjunction with the Rolex serial number (and model number) decoder to confirm the age of the watch. If you want to confirm which movement should be inside a Rolex model (which can help with dating) see my Rolex model/movement list.
